ABOUT 

Honghao Deng (zh:邓鸿浩) is an award-winning innovator and computational designer creating the field of responsive context-aware buildings with the integration of IoT and AI. He holds a Master of Design Technology with Distinction from Harvard GSD. He formerly was a researcher at City Science Group, MIT Media Lab. He is the Co-founder and CEO of Butlr. Under his leadership, Butlr is recognized as a 2022 Technology Pioneer by World Economic Forum.

Honghao has won multiple awards in the field of smart city and building technology, including Architizer A+ Award in Smart Building Technology, Time Magazine 100 Best Inventions, Red Dot Best of Best, Core77 Award, Gold and Platinum A' Design Award, iF Design Award, Fast Compay Innovation by Design, World-Changing Ideas, and 1st Prize Future Cities Contest. His research has been published on UIST, SIGGRAPH, CHI, TEI, DIS, and ISWC.
